What is it?
A:Allows a user to switch from one mobile operator to the other, within a circle, without changing your mobile number.
HOW TO Switch to another operator?
A:Generate a Unique Porting Code (UPC) from your mobile number. To generate a UPC, SMS "PORT" (space) mobile number to 1900
Visit the operator and submit mandatory documents and fill the Customer Application Form and Port-in form.You will get a new SIM .
New SIM purchased will be activated within 7 working days. Activation date and time will be informed to you through SMS..The activation would be done during the night between 12-4 AM during which both the user's SIM(NEW OPERATOR SIM AND OLD OPERATOR) would be inactive.Once activated,you just have to insert the new SIM and enjoy the service.
NOTE:1)Once you have changed the operator who should stay with it for atleast 90 days!!
2)CDMA numbers can be switched to GSM and vice versa and would require a change in Handset.
